The Food Services department will purchase prepackaged sandwiches from US Foods. In addition to the prepackaged sandwiches, fruit cups and juice will be provided to meet the requirements of a reimbursable meal. Examples of prepackaged sandwiches: Ham & Cheese, Sunbutter and Jelly, Cheese. Since deliveries from US Foods are only on Wednesdays. Orders will be placed by Tuesday morning in order to receive deliveries on the Wednesdays.
In order to accommodate this, a system like NutriKids or a Googledoc/form, will be implemented in order for students or their parents to communicate with the Food Service Department their lunch menu selection in advance so that everything can be sorted and bagged prior to delivery. o The Food Services department will provide a list of students that are free/reduced to each school and the transportation department. The list will include all students not just transported students. The Transportation department will utilize preexisting bus route stops for deliveries. For students that are not transported, their parents will have to pick up their lunches or centralized stops will be created for efficient drop off.
This information will be communicated via School messenger or Oncourse. o 2-3 Food Services workers will accompany the bus driver on deliveries. One worker will have the roster of eligible students. At each stop that worker will check student and/or parent IDs and check them off the list as participating. If we do not have a means for the students to place their orders prior to deliveries, that worker will also take their order for the next day. The various options the students can select from will be in cooler bags on the bus. The other worker(s) will bag their selections and provide that to the student. If students successfully placed their orders, they will be prepacked and labeled with the student’s information. The other worker will get their bag and provide it to the student. o After all deliveries are made, the workers will return to a school to enter into Nutrikids the students that participated so that they can be reported for reimbursement

Woodbridge
For our bus students: Our buses will continue to go to their assigned stops in the morning, but instead of picking up students, we will be dropping off the breakfast/lunch for any eligible students. Each driver will have a list for verification before handing out the packages. Please be at your stop at least 10 minutes prior to your normal pickup time. If you are not at the stop we will not be able to wait or come back. If you normally have a door pickup for your student, the meal will be delivered that way also. Please understand that we will do our best to keep the times the same but it may be a few minutes earlier or later depending on the number of stops a bus has to make. If you do not come to the bus when it is stopped at your location, we will not be able to wait or come back.
For our non-bus students: We will have a bus at each school parked from 9:15 to 9:30 in order to deliver meals. The drivers will have lists of students to verify names before handing out the packages. At 9:30 we will finish anyone who is line and the bus will be leaving, so please make sure you arrive prior to 9:30. If you have any problems with deliveries or pick-up, please call your principal or Mark Cinelli, Supervisor of Food Services, at 732-602-2536. We thank you in advance for your cooperation in making the above work.
