Elijah’s Promise is excited to partner with Rising Tide Capital to offer their Community Business Academy (CBA) to Promise Culinary School students and New Brunswick residents. As part of the Mercado Esperanza project funded through the Kresge Foundation and OFBINJ offered in partnership with New Brunswick Tomorrow and coLAB Arts, Rising Tide has already begun offering their first Community Business Academy in New Brunswick as of February 2018! At Elijah’s Promise, Rising Tide Capital’s CBA classes will promote the incubation of small businesses and culinary enterprises by connecting Promise Culinary School students and New Brunswick residents to entrepreneurship training, business development skills, and financial resources for scaling up their companies. Participating CBA and Promise Culinary School students are encouraged to vend at the Mercado Esperanza which is the first flexible LatinX community market celebrating the cultural foods, heritage, wares, and spirit of New Brunswick’s diverse population.
Spanish CBA Launches February 2018
Rising Tide’s Spanish Cohort kicked off on February 28, 2018 to a full class of 23 students! Many of these students are from New Brunswick and the Esperanza Neighborhood. Three Promise Culinary Students are enrolled in the class along with our very own Chef Elizabeth Sadi. We look forward to following the success of this CBA class as students develop their business plans and participate at the Mercado Esperanza over 2018 and beyond. English CBA Begins April 16th
Are you an aspiring entrepreneur? Want to start the business of your dreams but need the business training and technical assistance to do so? Rising Tide Capital will offer their bilingual 12-week course through the upcoming English Cohort starting on Monday, April 16th. This class will tackle basic business planning and management for running and growing a successful enterprise. Rising Tide has a proven track record for success with 1,385 graduates and 685 of these graduates operating profitable small businesses.
Attend Rising Tide Capital’s upcoming information session for their Community Business Academy (CBA) on Monday, March 26th and April 2nd at 6:00pm at Elijah’s Promise, 211 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ for their upcoming CBA English cohort. Class officially starts Monday, April 16th and will run for 12 weeks meeting on Monday nights from 6:00pm – 9:00pm.
