ServSafe is a food service sanitation course developed by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation to provide certification for Food Service employees.

Promise Culinary School offers a comprehensive one-day training course which allows participants to gain ServSafe® Food Protection Manager certification, the highest certification awarded by ServSafe.

An online ServSafe accreditation exam is now available for certification renewals if you bring your own device (laptop or tablet). Testing still needs to be administered at our 211 Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick NJ address in person.

The course focuses on five aspects of food service that can affect the safety of food:

  • Foodborne Microorganisms & Allergens
  • Personal Hygiene
  • Purchasing, Receiving and Storage
  • Preparation, Cooking and Serving
  • Facilities, Cleaning/Sanitizing and Pest Management

The course is instructed by Chef Elizabeth Sadi, a licensed ServSafe Instructor. Classes are typically held on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 am to 6 pm at 211 Livingston Ave. New Brunswick NJ 08901.

The cost of the training and exam is $180.

For students looking to renew their certification, the exam can be taken electronically in person. The fee for renewals is $125.
